The following is a brief documentary, Can Muslims Get Along with Non-Muslims?. It features a response to the Danish cartoons. Habib `Ali al-Jiffri, a modern scholar and prophetic scion, comments on the affair. It’s not very long (only about 15 minutes) but hopefully of benefit, insha’ Allah.

The Prophet warned, “Not one of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”

At school, Sundeep Randhawa is trying to raise money for victims of the Darfur gencide. The project is large and insha’ Allah his goal is to raise $1 000 000. I joined his group, promising the Muslim community would donate at least $1 000.

So I’m asking all of you to contribute whatever amount that you can. Everything counts – Sundeep told me that $5 will purchase enough rice to last a village of about 100 people for a week. Whatever you can give will insha’ Allah be accepted as a ṣadaqa (charity) and go far towards alleviating the suffering of those who find no respite.
