In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

As-salamu ‘alaikum!

Insha’ Allah, this page will be used to keep everyone updated on upcoming events and announcements, as well as summaries of the halaqas and khutbas.

Jumu’a
Jumu’a will be held year-round in Mr Huculak’s room (110). During daylight savings time, we will start at 3:20. When the clocks move back an hour, the prayer will begin at 12:20, during lunch. Everyone should try to attend the jumu’as; they can also be an excellent introduction to Islam for non-Muslims.

Halaqa
“And We sent thee not save as a Mercy to the Worlds.” – Qur’an, 21:107

Generally, the halaqa will focus on the sira (biography of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him). We will go through Martin Lings’ Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources, and discuss how mercy was encompassed in the life of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him. During the first semester, the halaqa will be held at 12:20 on [TBA], for those with period 9 spares; and on Fridays, for those with period 10 spares. The halaqa will be held in Mr Huculak’s room (110). Occasionally we will discuss other topics, such as the Spiritual Benefits of Ramadan.

Jazakum Allahu khairan.
